Ten Things We're Loving: December

Hey friends!

Welcome to our newest series: We're Loving. Every month we'll be sharing a few things that we're loving on - products, articles, shops (you get the drift!) - plus a new playlist filled with some of our favorite tunes. Scroll through this post to see the things we're loving in December and find our (much requested!) Christmas playlist at the end of the post!

This article from Style Me Pretty on creating a unique wedding is giving us all the good feels. We love Gabi's perspective on the things her and her fiancé are doing to create a wedding that feels true to their relationship. We love the note on selecting an officiant - Emma actually officiated Kaitlynn's wedding!

The only thing better than engagement season? Bridesmaid proposal season! Before you set out on a mission to the holy grail of Michael's, try shopping for an all-in-one curated "bridsmaid proposal" gift instead. We're loving these boxes from the amazing team at Teak and Twine.

There are few simple pleasures in life greater than a seasonal cocktail. This recipe for a Pomegranate Moscow Mule fits the bill perfectly. Spend your Saturday  night mixing up a few of these, wrapping your presents and watching Elf (for the third or fourth time this month #noshameinthegame). Bonus points if you scoop of these adorable cocktail napkins from Waiting on Martha.

One thing we love to do in order to get ahead of the January Resolution chaos? Powersheets from Cultivate What Matters. We've been using this intentional goal planner for two years; guys - it makes a difference. Say goodbye to the days of hastily scribbling half-hearted resolutions down on the morning of January 1st and instead spend the month of December working to plan for deeper and intentional goals in 2018. Right now, the ladies of Cultivate are leading their Powersheets Prep Week - follow them over on their blog or catch up on their insta stories to see how easy better goal setting can be! (Think goal setting is scary? Grab a set of Powersheets for yourself and a friend - then create a monthly accountability group to check-in with one another!)

The ladies of ALD love a good monogram, so we had all the heart eye emojis after spotting these gorgeous plates from Anthropologie. In the spirit of December, pick up a plate with the initial of future in-laws or sweet neighbor's last name, cover with your favorite Christmas cookies and surprise them with a sweet note. In need of some baking inspiration? You can find our favorite cookie recipes here

We don't know about you, but doesn't it always seem like the holidays (and arguably the best part of winter) fly-by before you had the chance to do, well, anything? That's why we're loving this Holiday Bucket List from the ladies at The Everygirl. We'll be making time for numbers one, five and eleven!

Okay, maybe we've been living under a rock, but a few months we discovered The Home Edit and it's safe to say that we're obsessed. Be still our organizing loving hearts. If you have a penchant for color coding, show-stopping pantries and beautiful handwriting, then this is the Instagram account for you. What's even better? Their insta stories. The ladies of THE have made us laugh-cry on more than one occasion. Go follow this account today.

We've both been trying to make a better habit out of consistent reading, so we can't wait to dig into this list from Glitter Guide. Craving a little community? Grab a few girlfriends and start a monthly book club. Even if you spend a little more time drinking wine than talking about your latest read, we won't tell!

Does anyone else's skin FREAKOUT as soon as the temps drop below 40°? This moisturizer from Keihl's has been a lifesaver! It soothes dry patches, calms redness and leaves your skin feeling moisturized without feeling greasy. Wear it under your makeup or with a bare face, this is our winter go to! We know the price-point is a little steep, but a little goes a long way, so one bottle should last you a full winter - if not longer!

As small business owners, we know the importance of shopping small. One of our favorite things about traveling across Michigan for weddings is getting to find amazing small businesses in all corners of our state! Make it a goal to shop small whenever you can this holiday season - then visit some of our favorite shops!
